Yes, vine is a mobile app (only available for iPhone and iPod touch, currently) that lets you create small (6 seconds) videos and clips. It was acquired by Twitter last year, although you don't really need a Twitter username to use vine. Videos created on vine can be shared on Twitter, Facebook or on the vine community. It's basically the Instagram of video.

Like Twitter, it has 'trending hashtags' where you can find the popular videos.

Here is an example of a Vine video that I quite like: http://vine.co/v/bdw9zxKITiz

I loved Vine, I was excited when it first came out -but it seemed like 90% of the videos I made wouldn't work or save. I got frustrated and stopped using it. Curious if it's working better or if anyone else had any issues.

Vine is an app for making 6 second videos. It is now available for both IOS and Android, but seems it may have been overshadowed by Instagram moving into the video area, allowing 15 seconds
