Three kids bring a water-logged phone back to life

It's not even funny how often people drop their phones in puddles, in amongst the washing up, or even - gawd help us - down the loo. For just such occasions, Reviveaphone aims to be a chemical knight in shining armour. The brainchild of 20-year-old Oliver Murphy from Essex, the kit promises to dry out and revive water-logged phones, within 24 hours. It can even work, apparently, a month after the water damage occurs, so you have time to buy a kit.

Along with the tester kit, the folks at Reviveaphone kindly sent a basic Nokia phone, but in the interests of rigorous (ahem) independent science we used our own BlackBerry. We also used our own lab coats* as you can see.

Well, if anyone knows how to break stuff, it's these kids. Introducing Mia (12), Alfie (11) and Elliot (5) as they put Reviveaphone through its paces.

* One lab coat, two dressing gowns...

Would you buy a Reviveaphone kit for £15? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
