Teachers: What's the most boring part of your job and how would you improve it?

Whether it be marking tests, writing report cards, or doing certain activities with your entire class; What part of being a teacher do you like the least and if you could, how would you improve it?

Thanks for the question. I think raising the voice over teachers' problems and issues could be a great boost to an overall educational improvement.

That said, I like almost everything of my job. But if I'd to single out the most boring part I'd just say bureaucracy ! It appears sometimes we've to overcome a long list of checks and questions and waiting before receiving the attention we'd like to have.

Attention for what ? Students ! It seems paradoxical but schools are burdened with so many things directly unrelated to learning that sometimes it appears we aren't in a school but somewhere else.

How would I improve it ?

Get the state off ruling so many details over education. And most importantly, get state exams off the shelves of students. Give them back again the joy of learning for the sake of learning and not for the sake of testing.
