Do you have insurance on your child's gadgets?

I don't have insurance on any of my gadgets.
Like all insurance it's down to personal assessment of risk, but in particular with children I'm not sure they really learn the lesson about looking after stuff until they've broken it and it no longer works due to their lack of care.
I'd be concerned that the message that things they don't take care of can be replaced without pain or inconvenience to them is not a long term recipe for responsibility.
It's why they don't get expensive phones until they prove they can look after cheaper ones, where their loss is of less concern.

All our gadgets are covered by my home insurance, however if a child's gadget were to break I would have to weigh up whether the effect on my premiums would make a claim worthwhile. I suspect in reality I wouldn't claim and they would have to learn why I'm always on at them to be careful with their stuff!
