Our experts - gaming
It's hard to know whose opinion to trust, especially when it comes to our kids. So we’ve brought together a rich variety of experts from the worlds of education, gaming, child development, online safety, technology, family therapy and more to add professional knowledge and experience to the conversation.
I'm a teacher / lecturer and Video Games Ambassador with Nesta as well as the founder of sprogglers.com, an online educational games world for children. I have an MSc in Software Engineering and a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education) and have worked for many years in education and in the games industry.
I have a passionate interest in the role of the internet and video / mobile games in the lives of children and young people and in the ethics of the internet and online / mobile games.
Many children love using the internet and play video and mobile games. Website and game makers like myself thus have a responsibility to ensure their sites and games are safe and ethical. Even better: educational!
I’m the co-creator of Gaming for Good. An engagement aficionado and community builder, my passion is about creating entertaining ways to engage, empower and unite kids and parents with great causes and consumer brands. I believe the power is through “storytelling” and most importantly how the story’s outcome impacts people and their communities.
I'm a writer and editor living in Seattle. I just launched a website, Pixelkin.org, to explain video gaming to parents. I also have a family foundation and at Ludusproject.org we accept proposals for digital media & learning philanthropic projects. I'm interested in books, movies, video games, and all the cool stuff going on the internet. We love gaming!
